Marketing

I built the brand from the ground up: I designed the logo, I created advertising material and I engaged in rigorous marketing. This involved: 
  • Setting up targeted ads on Facebook and Instagram paid for on a per-click basis.

  • Setting up as a Google business - if you google 'Spoonable' it will pop up as an official business.

  • Posting on London based woodworking forums

  • Putting up posters in craft/maker locations such as the Hackspace

Finance

The start-up cost came to £760, Each session has 6 students, each paying £80 per ticket. With a sole variable cost of £80 per session to the National Trust, this comes to a profit of £400 per session. All finances are managed by me personally.
